About the role: The Chief of Staff serves as a member of the executive management staff of RMTA, with input and responsibility for all facets of the Authority. Acts as a right-hand person to the CEO, primarily responsible for prioritizing strategic initiatives of the Authority. Leads cross-functional projects and facilitates collaboration between different departments to align efforts toward achieving organizational goals. Facilitates legislative and jurisdiction communication. Confers with RMTA legal counsel, as necessary, concerning a range of issues.
Requirements: Degree in public policy, business administration or government; Master’s degree or Juris Doctor strongly preferred; minimum six (6) years experience in a senior management level position which includes oversight and direction of staff; legal background preferred; ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences, build consensus and influence others; strategic thinking to understand the broader business landscape and align day-to-day activities with strategic goals; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines; strong analytical skills; discretion and confidentiality to handle sensitive information; ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and situations.
